I wanted the artifact to be more than just a flat illustration, so I decided to present my work in a box and have layered components in it. I began by removing the lid of a tissue box and painted it in sunset tones using acrylic paint. Then I started sketching out my characters before coloring them. I initially used water color to paint my characters, however I found the color to be too mild midway through so I switched back to acrylic plaint.
